Columbia University

Up West Budget Range: $1500-$2800:

51% of students choose to live in Shangxi because it is convenient to go to school, which can be reached within a 5-minute walk. There are also Hmart, Wholefood  nearby to meet the needs of daily life. It reveals the taste of New York in the last century. The building lacks some modern facilities, but has a little more life. It is highly sought after by Vintage lovers.

LIC budget range: $1600-$3000:

Columbia is located near 116th Street, but 17% of its students still choose to live in LIC. The surrounding facilities are complete, script killing, mahjong hall, barbecue restaurant, hot pot restaurant have everything. Another reason not to be overlooked is that living in LIC offers sweeping views of Manhattan.

Midtown budget range: $2100-$4000

Some people are drawn to Midtown's rich shopping environment. Buyer shops such as Bergdorf, Saks, DoverStreetMarket are gathered here. Of course, the more choices you have, the more your daily expenses will naturally increase.

NYU Tandon

BK budget range: $1800-$3300

Tandon was formerly the Brooklyn polytechnic, and the name suggests it is located in BK. 61% of students choose to live here. It is a 10-minute walk to the main Tandon campus. It is not only convenient for transportation, but also can watch football games in barcley center, taste food at Dumbo timeout and visit various boutiques. It is worth noting that to avoid the following high-risk areas: Brownsville, East New York and Bedford-Stuyvesant.

Pratt

BK budget range: $1800-$3300

Brooklyn is the region of choice for Pratt students at 49%. After all, there is a school in front of your home, which is about a 10-minute walk. In addition, BK has a strong artistic atmosphere, which provides students with creative inspiration. Some well-known artists and architects have settled here.

LIC budget range: $1600-$3000

LIC is located in the middle of BK and Manhattan, and is chosen by more and more students. Its proportion of 40% is basically the same as that of BK. The students who live here are all because they need to travel between the Isle of Man and the BK campus. It takes 35 minutes to take the subway directly to the BK campus; it takes about 20 minutes to reach the Isle of Man campus. While enjoying convenient transportation, it is accompanied by the noise of the subway. Students who are sensitive to noise should try to choose a high-floor apartment.

Fordham Lincoln Center

LIC budget range: $1600-$3000

32% of students attending Fordham Lincoln Center live in LIC. The nearby living facilities are very friendly, such as Japanese and Korean supermarkets, trader joe's, and the upcoming target.  The most important thing is the social group inside the building, where you can make like-minded friends without leaving home. But it is a bit inconvenient to go from LIC to Fordham, the subway can't go directly, and you need to transfer.

Budget range: $2000-$3800

Columbus Circle, a popular area for Fordham students, is just one step away from the main campus, allowing students with morning classes to save commuting time and get more sleep. There are opera houses, fine dining and shopping malls around, which fully shows the classic side of New York. However, such an environment is too comfortable to feel the vitality of New York.

Midtown budget range: $2100-$4000

In the national online class, without considering commuting, midtown has become the best choice for 14% of the students. Empire State Building, Times Square, Big Pineapple Hudson yards, living here you can explore new things every day.
